Shailja has a Master’s degree in Statistics and is working for her Ph.D. in statistics that will lead her to a specialization in sampling. She is working on aspects and applications of controlled sampling designs. She has been teaching Bachelor’s courses in Statistics for more than five years. Her pursuit in finding challenges in applying soft computing to statistics made her approach Ev Research where she demonstrated her quick learning skills. She now works on varied platforms like R, SYSTAT, etc. and provides consultancy in statistics.

She is adventurous and loves to travel and explore different places. She has experienced activities like zip lining, sky diving, squad biking, paragliding, sea scooter and looks forward to many more. She enjoys dancing and yoga. She is not a bookworm, but is keen to learn different things. She believes in stars and the saying that “good deeds come back to the person someday in any form”, so always do and speak well. She lives in Dehradun with her family and her pet dog, Tiaro.
